Not Supporting John Edwards

Mon Dec 31, 2007 at 10:00:06 PM PDT

I know that this site exists specifically to promote Democrats.

I know that for the last 7 years we have witnessed the natural consequences of America's first MBA president.

I know that the Republican outrages of those years, incubated by putting greed before country, provide the lifesblood of this site.

I know that Democratic voters come in many different flavors, and that one of the ingredients that determine these diverse flavors is outlook on economic principles.

I know that virtually all Democrats (and increasing numbers of aware independents and Republicans) realize that giving big business what amounts to a virtual desk in the White House, as well as giving them a no-bid contract to supply all desks the federal government might need the use of for some time to come (to stretch the analogy) is a monumentally corrupt and anti-American policy, and that we were warned against it as far back as Dwight D.

I know that kossacks know all this.

We know what CNMI means.  We know that Dick Cheney is still refusing to release the names of his energy task force coffee clatch.  We know that the FCC chair refuses to listen to the will of the people.

I could go on.

So here's what I don't know: Why are any regular participants of this site even considering other candidates?  Isn't it painfully obvious that corporations have not only crashed the gates but are on their way to taking complete control of our so called way of life?

Seriously.

Do Obama and Clinton and Kucinich and Biden and Dodd and Richardson supporters not get how important it is to wrest control of our government away from these thieves that have staock valuation as their only real motivation?  I didn't include Gravel supporters because I think Mike gets it.  Do people think John Edwards is lying about taking the fight to the powers that be?  Why are you ignoring his message?

Isn't corporate influence at the root of most of the problems that we blog about and work against?
